JOURNAL Talk KQTH (104.1 THE TRUTH)/TUCSON morning host JON JUSTICE reports from his bed at NORTHWEST MEDICAL CENTER in TUCSON that his heart surgery to repair a leak in his previously-repaired aorta "went flawlessly" and that he is now on the mend.

JUSTICE, who had open heart surgery after his FEBRUARY 2009 heart attack, says that doctors remain in some ways unsure what caused the leak, finding "a hole the size of a pencil lead" but having no idea what would have caused the damage, which was noticed on a JULY 2009 CT scan but thought at the time to be left-over scar tissue from the first surgery.

JUSTICE tells ALL ACCESS, "I am absolutely overwhelmed at the outpouring of prayers and well wishes for me and my family. JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP has 100% supported me again during this hard time. The well-wishes extended way beyond the radio community, and was yet another example of how caring the people of southern ARIZONA are. To be blessed with that much support going into a second open heart surgery gave me a comfort I can't describe."
