MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS Talk KNWZ-A-KNWQ-A-KNWH-A-K232CX (KNEWS)/PALM SPRINGS afternoon host LEE RAYBURN resigned on the air, telling THE DESERT SUN on MONDAY he will leave the valley today to move 'back east,' where he accepted a job offer. He declined to be more specific, but ALL ACCESS hears that he is returning to the ITHACA market to join SAGA Talk WHCU-A.

RAYBURN was sued for defamation in DECEMBER of last year (NET NEWS 12/12/11) by the owner of a security company whose relationship with the city of DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA had become a point of controversy in local news reports, but ALL ACCESS hears that his resignation was unrelated to that incident.
