WCIC, McDonald's Team Up For Local 'Concert For Kids'

ILLINOIS BIBLE INSTITUTE Contemporary Christian WCIC/PEORIA, IL and McDONALD'S restaurants in PEORIA and BARTONVILLE teamed up to present CONCERT FOR KIDS. 

The benefit concert featuring WORD ENTERTAINMENT band SIDEWALK PROPHETS served as a fundraiser for the PEORIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOUNDATION'S BEACON PROJECT that is designed to provide up-to-date technology for DISTRICT 150 schools.  More than 750 people attended the benefit show on MONDAY (4/23) at BETHANY BAPTIST CHURCH in PEORIA.

The event raised more than $6,500 from ticket sales, silent auction, and additional donations.  The funds will be used specifically to help with the purchase of an IPAD cart for the sixth graders at ROLLING ACRES MIDDLE SCHOOL. Thirty IPADS will be used for improved learning and in an after-school computer lab.
