Dial Global Adjusts Staffing Of 24-Hour Formats

Adjustments Underway

DIAL GLOBAL in DALLAS, DENVER, SEATTLE and VALENCIA, CA have let a number of folks go -- approximately 30 staffers in all -- as it makes adjustments to its 24-hour formats.

The DG TOTAL BRAND becomes more like DG LOCAL, so there was a merging of staffs and redundant positions in programming, on-air and support staff positions.

DIAL GLOBAL Pres./Programming KIRK STIRLAND told ALL ACCESS, "We continue to evolve our patented DG LOCAL as the primarily production method for our 24-hour formats for its strength and flexibility. As a result, some positions were eliminated."

ALL ACCESS hears that Adult Standards PD CHICK WATKINS' post was eliminated. AC PD RICK BRADY is out and is replaced by Oldies Plus/Good Time Oldies PD CHERI MARQUART.

More names as we learn of them.
