Folger Media Launches Its 3rd Country Station

Blake Debuts In Lubbock

As the calendar turned over to CINCO DE MAYO, FOLGER MEDIA used the opportunity to celebrate just after the stroke of midnight to roll out its latest new country station, flipping GAP BROADCASTING Country KQBR (99.5 THE BEAR)/LUBBOCK to 995 BLAKE FM.

995 BLAKE FM comes just a few months after the launch of KATP (BLAKE-FM)/AMARILLO.

FOLGER MEDIA Pres. JOEL FOLGER said he is elated to debut another country station. "BLAKE FM is a winning brand and we’re thrilled to have another station on board."

Joining FOLGER in consulting BLAKE FM is country music programming veteran KEVIN CHRISTOPHER, who programs KJKE (JAKE FM)/OKLAHOMA CITY. The OM is WES NESSMAN.
