WHTK/Rochester Splits Simulcast, FM Goes Oldies

CLEAR CHANNEL Sports WHTK-A-F/ROCHESTER, NY has split its simulcast, with the FM flipping to Oldies as WODX (OLDIES 107.3) and the AM continuing with the Sports format.

CCM+E SVPP JON ZELLNER told ALL ACCESS, "We saw the opportunity for oldies in ROCHESTER after seeing much success with the format in COLUMBUA, PORTLAND, MILWAUKEE and many other markets. OLDIES 107-3 complements our other brands in ROCHESTER perfectly."

The change is the second for CLEAR CHANNEL in the market in recent weeks, after Classic Rock WFXF (95.1 THE FOX) repositioned as "95.1 THE BREW" (NET NEWS 4/30).
