When he's not busy leading the promotional effort for artists such as MAROON 5, NELLY FURTADO and ELLIE GOULDING, INTERSCOPE's CHRIS LOPES also advises the NHL LOS ANGELES KINGS, according to an article in the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
LOPES serves on a "Hollywood Advisory Board" with other L.A.-based hockey fans, including JERRY BRUCKHEIMER, JASON REITMAN, CAA managing partner DAVID "DOC" O'CONNOR, SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT Vice Chairman JEFF BLAKE, SOUTH PARK Supervising Producer FRANK AGNONE, producers GABE SACHS (90210) and BARRY JOSEPHSON (Bones), PRIORITY RECORDS founder BRYAN TURNER, manager RIA SHAPIRO of THE SCHIFF CO., and artist JOHN ONDRASIK (FIVE FOR FIGHTING).
According to the article, the group was formed four years ago by LUC ROBITAILLE, a former star player for the KINGS who is now the team's Pres./Business Operations.
A NYC native and long-time RANGER fan, LOPES may have a conflict of interest should the "blue shirts" wind up in the Stanley Cup Finals against the KINGS.
