The sale of Alternative WFNX/BOSTON by PHOENIX MEDIA/MCC BROADCASTING CO., INC. to CLEAR CHANNEL's AMFM RADIO LICENSES, INC. now has a price attached to it, as the contract filed with the FCC shows CLEAR CHANNEL paying $14.5 million for the Class A FM licensed to LYNN, MA.
Also disclosed for the first time is what BLOUNT COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is paying PHOENIX MEDIA/FNX BROADCASTING OF NEW HAMPSHIRE, LLC for WFNX's NEW HAMPSHIRE simulcast, WFEX/PETERBOROUGH, NH, as the contract for that deal shows the buyer spending $725,000 for the facility.
In other filings with the FCC, receiver TODD FOWLER is selling Urban Inspirational WHLQ/LAWRENCEVILLE, VA to JIMMY JOHNSON for $75,000.
ENTERCOM is buying FM translator K287AY/AUSTIN, TX from CRAWFORD RADIO TWO for $300,000. The translator will rebroadcast Talk KJCE-A/AUSTIN via the HD3 channel of KKMJ.
VIC MICHAEL's CEDAR COVE BROADCASTING, INC. is selling the construction permit for KOOW/CROOK, CO to KAYLYNN DUVALL's 3G LEARNING SOLUTIONS for $5,000.
And FAMILY LIFE BROADCASTING SYSTEM has requested a Silent STA for FM translator K297AU/BIG SPRING, TX due to a brush fire that destroyed the station's transmission equipment on JUNE 21st, 2011; the licensee says that it did not learn of the damage until its yearly maintenance visit to the site.
