United Stations Launches 'The Final Lap Weekly'

UNITED STATIONS RADIO NETWORKS is launching a weekend one-hour talk show version of the network's current short-form auto racing feature THE FINAL LAP.  Host KERRY MURPHY will be joined by NASCAR reporter TOBY CHRISTIE for the new terrestrial radio version of THE FINAL LAP WEEKLY, which debuts the weekend of JUNE 2nd-3rd.  The weekly show has been produced as a podcast until now and is now being made available for broadcast.

USRN's ANDY DENEMARK said, "2012 has been another solid year for NASCAR racing with TV viewership and track attendance both up.  At the same time, Sports radio is growing exponentially, so we felt it was a great time to bring a new long-form racing talk show to the airwaves.   KERRY MURPHY is a proven winner; his team covers the sport like no one else, and this is a great brand extension for KERRY and THE FINAL LAP."
