NORTHERN LIGHTS BROADCASTING Pres./CEO STEVE "WOODY" WOODBURY has announced his retirement, effective SEPT. 1st, 2012. On JUNE 1st, SAM ELLIOT GAGLIARDI will assume the title of SVP/GM for the company, where he will focus on Adult Rock KTWN (96.3 K-TWIN)/MINNEAPOLIS.
WOODBURY, whose 40-year radio career led to being inducted into the Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Famer, has been an on-air announcer, program director, sales manager and general manager at multiple radio stations. Since 2007, he has headed up NORTHERN LIGHTS BROADCASTING for THE POHLAD COMPANIES. "Working with THE POHLAD COMPANIES has been a fantastic end to my career. I’ve loved the association and the friendships," WOODBURY said.
GAGLIARDI has been with NORTHERN LIGHTS BROADCASTING since 2004, most recently as VP/Station Manager, and has been in radio broadcasting for more than 20 years.
"This is part of an orderly transition we’ve planned for some time," THE POHLAD COMPANIES' BERT COLIANNI said. "STEVE and SAM will be working closely together over the next three months to transition leadership at NORTHERN LIGHTS. We appreciate STEVE’s leadership and vision and wish him well in his retirement. We also want to congratulate SAM on his exciting and well-deserved promotion."
