BRISTOL BROADCASTING CO. Talk WFHG-F (SUPER TALK)/ABINGDON-BRISTOL, VA makes the jump from its present 1,600 watt Class A facility at 92.7 FM to its new Class C2 signal (7,600 watts at 1,240 feet above average terrain, effective 50,000 watts), licensed to BLUFF CITY, TN, TODAY (6/1) at 9a. The new signal will take the station from covering mostly the BRISTOL end of the TRI CITIES market to covering the full market, including KINGSPORT and JOHNSON CITY, TN, under its city grade signal.
Cluster OM BILL HAGY told ALL ACCESS, "The move has taken a very long time with plans beginning over six years ago! We are very excited about the move, as it will put WFHG as a full service full-power News/Talk station smack in the middle of the TRI-CITIES!"
