CLEAR CHANNEL Urban WUSL (POWER 99)/PHILADELPHIA has announced the first of three  “Peace In The Streets Jams.”  The first one is scheduled to take place THURSDAY, JUNE 7th from 6-8p at MYERS RECREATION CENTER and will feature DRIICKY GRAHAM and  NU WORLD MUSIC GROUP. 

These summer festivals provide information about how communities can stop violence and increase peace. They feature speakers and performances by national recording artists. POWER 99 has teamed with PHILADELPHIA CITY Coucilman KENYATTA JOHNSON’S “Peace Not Guns" campaign,” PHILADELPHIA FUTURES and PHILADELPHIA DEPT. of PARKS and RECREATION for the events. 

PHILADELPHIA FUTURES and POWER  99 will also award three $1,000 scholarships at the “Peace On The Street Jams”  to qualified college-bound high school seniors from economically disadvantaged neighborhoods.
