GOOGLE-owned YOUTUBE has signed blanket licensing deals with BMG RIGHTS MANAGEMENT, as well as smaller publishers such as CHRISTIAN COPYRIGHT SOLUTIONS, ABKCO MUSIC, INC., SONGS MUSIC PUBLISHING, WORDS & MUSIC, COPYRIGHT ADMINISTRATION, MUSIC SERVICES, RESERVOIR MEDIA MANAGEMENT and SONGS OF VIRTUAL, reports THEVERGE.COM. GOOGLE already has similar agreements with the big four music labels: SONY, EMI, UMG and WMG.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, although it is presumed by some sources that they'd be similar to the those publishers were offered last year, when GOOGLE settled a lawsuit with the NATIONAL MUSIC PUBLISHERS ASSOCIATION.
