AMERICAN URBAN RADIO NETWORKS (AURN) announces two names of those who will be honored during this year’s URBAN KNIGHTS AWARDS. 

They are NATALIE SWED STONE, US Director National Radio Investment of Omnicom Group (OMD) and HYMEN CHILDS, Partner, SERVICE BROADCASTING of DALLAS. THE URBAN KNIGHTS AWARDS are designed to honor those in Urban radio who have helped to significantly improve marketing and sales to the African-American consumer marketplace.

HYMEN CHILDS has owned DALLAS Urban powerhouse KKDA (K-104) for nearly 40 years. NATALIE SWED STONE, in her position as US Director National Radio Investment Omnicom Group, oversees such brands as JC PENNY, LOWE’S, PEPSI,  H&R BLOCK and VISA. She is the first to receive an award in the newly created advertiser category. 

This year’s awards presentation will take place WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th at the HILTON ANATOLE HOTEL in DALLAS during the NAB/RAB “Radio Show.”
