NBC Sports, Dial Global To Launch New Sports Radio Network

NBC SPORTS is partnering with DIAL GLOBAL to launch a new national radio network in SEPTEMBER.

NBC SPORTS RADIO NETWORK will include long-form programming (at the outset, two evening shows), daily features, and hourly sports updates using talent from NBC SPORTS, affiliates and the company's regional COMCAST SPORTSNET cable channels. 

USA TODAY's MICHAEL HIESTAND adds that the network plans to expand to a 24/7 service within three to five years and does not plan simulcasting the radio shows on television, at least in the initial stages.
