GLENN BECK has reached agreement on a renewal of his contract with PREMIERE NETWORKS, reports the NEW YORK TIMES' BRIAN STELTER. The new deal, which STELTER, citing an unnamed source, values at about $100 million over the life of the contract, will keep BECK at PREMIERE for five more years.
BECK has been in syndication for 10 years, starting after 9/11 when he was based at CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WFLA-A/TAMPA and continuing with his subsequent move to CBS RADIO Talk WPHT-A/PHILADELPHIA and then to NEW YORK, where he launched television shows for HEADLINE NEWS and, with great notoriety, FOX NEWS CHANNEL.
He moved his television programming online last year with the launch of subscription service GBTV.
