Alternative WKQX (Q-101)/CHICAGO and TRN-FM syndicated morning man MANCOW MULLER auctioned off 358 pieces of pop culture memorabilia SATURDAY, but he wasn't there to see someone bid on two bricks from serial killer JOHN WAYNE GACY's house or CHARLTON HESTON's "PLANET OF THE APES" boots and pants.
MULLER was in NEW YORK for a very brief on a NEW MEDIA SEMINAR "FM Talk" panel while his collection of oddities, including a Batmobile replica, an authentic prop "STAR TREK III" tricorder, and a guitar autographed by members of KORN, was being auctioned off in CHICAGO. The CHICAGO SUN-TIMES reports that the auction took in about $160,000., with about $2,000. from crime-related items going to charity.
