Lanpher Leaves Air America's Al Franken Show

AIR AMERICA RADIO "AL FRANKEN SHOW" co-host KATHERINE LANPHER is exiting the show on OCTOBER 7. the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS reports that LANPHER says she's leaving to work on a new book due to be published by a new TIME WARNER publishing imprint in FALL 2006.

Meanwhile, the network finds itself without a PHILADELPHIA affiliate, as FRIDAY (9/30) marks the last day that AL FRANKEN and RANDI RHODES' shows will be cleared on ICBC's Talk WHAT-A. WHAT is adding local shows with PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS columnist ELMER SMITH 1-5p and station mainstay MARY MASON's producer ALBERT BUTLER for 9a-1p.
