CRTC OKs Move Of CHFA/Edmonton To FM

The CRTC has approved the CBC's application to move RADIO-CANADA French LA PREMIERE CHAINE affiliate CHFA-A/EDMONTON from AM to FM.

Under the CBC's application, the company will relocate two present FM rebroadcasting transmitters, shifting its present CHFA retransmitter from 101.1 at 3,931 watts to 90.1 at 100,000 watts while moving CBCX-FM-1, which relays the ESPACE MUSIQUE format from CBCX/CALGARY, to the 101.1 FM slot, dropping from 100,000 to 3,931 watts.
