Jim Murphy Exits KATC To Join Ohio Center For Broadcasting

Programming veteran JIM MURPHY tells ALL ACCESS that he has decided to exit the PD post at CUMULUS Country KATC/COLORADO SPRINGS after 14 months on the job. He has accepted a teaching position at the OHIO CENTER FOR BROADCASTING as Dir./Career Services.

MURPHY is known best for his 15 year run as VP/Country at JONES RADIO NETWORKS (now DIAL GLOBAL).

"I am extraordinarily proud that we took CAT COUNTRY from #13 in the market (12+) when I arrived to become the #1 Country station in SOUTHERN COLORADO,” said MURPHY. “However, the chance to work with the faculty at the OHIO CENTER FOR BROADCASTING ‘s COLORADO campus and help brand new broadcasters get their start in the business really appealed to me.”
