The 2006 CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL is not only history, it was also record breaking. The CMA reports that 161,590 people attended the four day event (6/8-6/11) in NASHVILLE up from 145,000 last year and 132,000 in 2004.
Music lovers from all over the world flocked to MUSIC CITY to enjoy attractions such as the CHEVY SPORTS ZONE, the FAMILY ZONE, the FUN ZONE and the CHEVY ALL ACCESS MUSIC TOUR. More than anything, they came to hear music and there was plenty to be found. Thirty three acts performed during the nightly shows at LP FIELD including surprise appearances by KENNY CHESNEY, KEITH URBAN and DIERKS BENTLEY. The GREASED LIGHTNING DAYTIME STAGES at RIVERFRONT PARK featured more than 32 hours of music and 86 acts.
Tickets for the 2007 CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL went on sale over the weekend and the fans made it clear that they will be back next year. The Gold Circle four day packages sold out in a record two hours and advanced sales were up 41% from last year. Mark your calendars, the event will be held in NASHVILLE, JUNE 7-10.
