Top 40 BBC RADIO 1 is instituting a program of fines for DJs who swear on the air after two complaints to radio regulator OFCOM against morning man CHRIS MOYLES and afternoon host SCOTT MILLS.
OFCOM has threatened the BBC with a 250,000 pound fine after MOYLEScalled women "dirty whores" and used the "f-word" while a guest dropped two other obscenities, and MILLS told a woman to "shut the f--k up" and called her child a "little sh-t" in a prank call. The BBC told OFCOM it will fine hosts who use offensive, sexist, or discriminatory language twice within 12 months, and repeat offenders will face a three-strikes rule.
