Cumulus-EMF Mobile Swap Includes Nashville Deal, Too

The deals enabling CUMULUS Top 40 WABD/MOBILE to move to the 97.5 frequency formerly occupied by its longtime predecessor WABB have been filed with the FCC, with EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION swapping WLVM/MOBILE, the former WABB, to CUMULUS LICENSING LLC in exchange for Classic Hits WRQQ (NASHVILLE'S CLASSIC HITS)/BELLE MEADE, TN-NASHVILLE and is buying the facility of WDLT/CHICKASAW-MOBILE, AL from CUMULUS for $1.6 million ($300,000 cash, $1.3 million in a non-interest-bearing promissory note).
As reported YESTERDAY at ALL ACCESS (NET NEWS 7/9), CUMULUS is moving the WABD programming to WLVM's facility, with WLVM's Contemporary Christian programming moving to WDLT's signal; in addition, EMF's K-LOVE network will start airing on WRQQ in an LMA before closing.
In other filings with the FCC, CARLOS ARANA MINISTRIES is selling noncommercial Spanish Religion KGIO and K211ET (RADIO CADENA MANANTIAL)/ASTORIA, OR to CENTRO FAMILIAR CRISTIANO for $45,000 ($5,000 deposit, $5,000 cash at closing, the rest, less an amount covering the payoff of an existing $20,000-principal note, in a promissory note).
The price for the deal by which KLO BROADCASTING CO. (CAPITAL BROADCASTING), owner of Talk KLO-A/OGDEN-SALT LAKE CITY, is buying Adult Hits KJQN (103.1 JACK FM)/COALVILLE, UT from SLC DIVESTITURE TRUST, the LARRY PATRICK-headed spinoff trust for SIMMONS stations being divested after the latter company's acquisition of the MILLCREEK BROADCASTING/3 POINT MEDIA stations, for an undisclosed price, is $1.15 million, plus a $350,000 consulting agreement with the Seller, totaling $1.5 million. KLO will be simulcast on KJQN beginning JULY 16th; the deal also includes KJQN's six boosters in OGDEN, SALT LAKE CITY, PARK CITY, PROVO, BOUNTIFUL, and NORTH SALT LAKE CITY. (NET NEWS 7/2)
PENFOLD COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has asked the FCC for a Silent STA for WJIK/FULTON, AL due to "technical issues."
TUGART PROPERTIES, LLC has filed for a Silent STA for FM translator W248AG/COMMERCE, GA due to a lost lease.
INVISIBLE ALLIES MINISTRIES has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for WRJV/HUSTONTOWN, PA due to electrical problems at its transmitter.
AZTECA COMMUNICATIONS OF ALABAMA, INC. has also requested a Silent STA extension, this one for WCOC/DORA, AL due to transmitter repair.
And LAKOTA LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT wants an extension of its Silent STA for WLHS/WEST CHESTER, OH while it changes transmitter sites.
