Patsy Cline Exhibit To Open At Country Music Hall Of Fame And Museum

The COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM/NASHVILLE has announced the opening of its forthcoming exhibit to honor PATSY CLINE which opens on FRIDAY, AUGUST 24th in NASHVILLE.

The exhibit, entitled “PATSY CLINE: Crazy for Loving You,” will feature CLINE’s biography, a new film with interviews from artists who have worked her, archival performance footage, personal hand-written letters and collectibles, PATSY’s costume jewelry collection and stage wear, and much more. The exhibit is designed to tell PATSY CLINE’s story in her own words, while allowing fans to discover the challenges that she endured while balancing her professional career with her responsibilities as a wife and mother.

“PASTY CLINE is an AMERICAN music icon and perhaps the most accessible artist in Country music history,” said Museum Dir. KYLE YOUNG. “Though she recorded for only eight years and made her last record nearly 50 years ago, her body of work -- those classic torch songs and ballads of heartache -- have continued to resonate with music fans of all genres. While she considered herself a Country singer, she was equally adept at Pop stylings, and was a key influence in bringing the two genres closer stylistically in the 1960s. The quintessential torch singer, she could wring every nuance of emotion from a lyric; and her prodigious vocal stylings and unique delivery have influenced scores of artists, including LORETTA LYNN, LINDA RONDSTADT and REBA MCENTIRE,” continued YOUNG.

The “PATSY CLINE: Crazy for Loving You” exhibit will run through JUNE 10th, 2013.
