OURSTAGE.COM, AKOO and SECRET MEAN STINKS held their first BAND AGAINST BULLYING event last FRIDAY (7/20) at BB KINGS in NYC, and the show has garnereda lot of attention for the cause, not to mention stellar reviews. The free concert featured YOUTUBE sensations MEGAN & LIZ, HOT CHELLE RAE, and OURSTAGE winning artist and "American Idol" finalist TIM HALPERIN, among others.
Hosted by Z100's TREY MORGAN, along with CARLA MARIE from ELVIS DURAN AND THE MORNING SHOW, the event never strayed from the anti-bullying theme. On the wide screens on each side of the stage, fans viewed BAND AGAINST BULLYING video messages from a variety of artists, including JOHN MAYER, FLO RIDA, KESHA, JUSTIN BIEBER, TRAIN, THE FRAY, RITA ORA, NEON TREES and ONE DIRECTION.
Entertainment Consultant and BAND AGAINST BULLYING creator BRUCE TYLER commented, "We're all so overwhelmed by the amazing support this campaign has received. That so many wanted to be involved in whatever way possible ... that fans waited for hours in the rain, just further demonstrates how passionate everyone is about this cause."
Filmed by EMMY AWARD winner MITCHELL STUART, millions of fans will be able to view highlights of the event in the coming weeks through AKOO's digital video network, as well as on OURSTAGE.COM.
