Ed Schultz's Wife Wendy Battling Ovarian Cancer

DIAL GLOBAL and MSNBC host ED SCHULTZ told his radio audience WEDNESDAY that his wife WENDY is fighting ovarian cancer. SCHULTZ has been absent from his radio and TV shows and confirmed that his wife is ill in a call to fill-in host MIKE PAPANTONIO.

"Last WEDNESDAY this time, we found out that WENDY has ovarian cancer," SCHULTZ said. "It's been a real jolt to say the least, I mean it shakes you to your bones. But she's a tough girl. She went through surgery yesterday. The doctors feel like they got it all of it. It was a very successful surgery, but we got a long way to go."
