  LANGER BROADCASTING Portugese WSRO-A (RADIO 650 AM)/ASHLAND, MA flipped on its new transmitter last week with participation from MASSACHUSETTS Governor DEVAL PATRICK, reports the BOSTON GLOBE.
  The station has boosted its power from 250 watts daytime and 9 watts at night to 1,500 watts daytime and 62 watts at night from the same FRAMINGHAM transmitter location, throwing more power across BOSTON during the day but remaining primarily a suburban METROWEST signal targeting the Brazilian population in the region.
