JACOBS MEDIA President FRED JABOBS will present the findings from his company's 2006 Technology Web Poll during CONCLAVE 2006: FUTURE TENSE! on FRIDAY morning JULY 14th. This will be the first time the findings of the study will be presented in their entirety.
The polls provide "the opportunity to take a deeper look into the lifestyle habits of our listeners,” said JACOBS. “The world of technology and media is changing so quickly, that this research snapshot delivers a real education about what the Rock audience is doing and when they’re not listening to our stations. This dovetails perfectly with the mission of the CONCLAVE, and should be a real education for attendees.”
The 2006 Technology Web Poll was conducted in late February of this year amongst 79 Rock, Classic Rock and Alternative radio stations around the country. Nearly 26,000 listeners participated in the survey, providing a detailed look at how radio listeners are buying and using iPods, mp3 players, text messaging, buying satellite radio (and which service), audio streaming and more.
“We even learned how HOWARD STERN’s listeners responded to his departure to SIRIUS,” remarks JACOBS. “We know how many bought satellite radio and how many intend to do so. We will also show the winners and losers in the STERN Sweepstakes.”
THE CONCLAVE happens JULY 13th through 16th at the MARRIOTT CITY CENTRE in Downtown MINNEAPOLIS. For info, visit www.theconclave.com.
