Ventura Brokered-Program Hosts Sentenced In Real Estate Fraud Case

A pair of real estate agents who co-hosted weekend brokered real estate shows on GOLD COAST Talk KVTA-A/PORT HUENEME-VENTURA, CA have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a real estate fraud case.
The VENTURA COUNTY STAR reports that KENNETH A. POWELL, who hosted brokered shows "ACADEMY OF REAL ESTATE," "MONEY INTELLIGENCE," and "THE KEN AND KATIE SHOW" on KVTA, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison and KATHRYN "KATIE" ROSE has been sentenced to 12 years and eight months for what Judge KEVIN MCGEE called a "classic Ponzi scheme."
Co-defendant PAUL CHARLES LASCOLA awaits a preliminary hearing set for OCTOBER 10th. POWELL and ROSE pleaded guilty to taking just under $3 million from victims, with POWELL pleading guilty to 13 counts and ROSE to 15.
