Songwriter Bob McDill To Recieve ASCAP's Golden Note Award

ASCAP (THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF COMPOSERS, AUTHORS, AND PUBLISHERS) has announced that songwriter BOB MCDILL will receive ASCAP’s “Golden Note Award" in recognition of his career achievements that include writing several number one songs, 4 GRAMMY nominations, being named NSAI “Songwriter of the Year” three times, and being a member of the NSAI’s Hall of Fame.
"BOB MCDILL is one of Country music’s most eloquent and literary songwriters. His dedication to the art and craft of writing honest songs that come straight from the soul has touched the hearts of millions around the world. We are very proud to honor him with the ASCAP “Golden Note Award” in recognition of his extraordinary career," said ASCAP President and Chairman PAUL WILLIAMS.
Past “Golden Note Award” winners include DON WILLIAMS, GARTH BROOKS, ALAN JACKSON and REBA MCENTIRE.
The 50th Annual ASCAP COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS will take place on MONDAY, OCTOBER 29th at GAYLORD OPRYLAND in NASHVILLE.
