It's all's well that ends well for AMAZON SVP BRIAN VALENTINE, who thought he had arranged for TOM PETTY to perform at his wedding.

THE SMOKING GUN reports VALENTINE told FBI agents, he and his fiancee GIANNA PUERINI got engaged in 2010, at a TOM PETTY concert, and decided to tie the knot in 2012. In late 2011, VALENTINE "decided that he wanted to have TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS perform at his wedding as a gift to his fiancee," FBI agent ERIC PETERSEN explained in a document obtained by THE SMOKING GUN.

VALENTINE contracted with CHAD CHRISTOPHER LUND's website, www.lundlive.com, which is now shut down, for $330,000 -- half of which he paid up front.

LUND was arrested in AUGUST 2nd in ILLINOIS on felony charges.

The real happy ending happened in JULY, as PETTY really did show up at the wedding reception.
