Taylor Swift Launches New Single On Webcast, Cites Album Release Date

On her exclusive webcast earlier TODAY, songstress TAYLOR SWIFT announced that her next album, entitled "Red," will be released OCT. 22nd.  She also launched her debut single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," which is available now on iTUNES.

Unlike her past efforts, SWIFT said she worked with many co-writers and producers on the new album.  One highlight is a duet on the album with British singer ED SHEERAN, whose current single "The A Team" is a favorite of SWIFT's. 

About 71,000 fans tuned into the webcast.

In other news, SWIFT has purchased a home in HYANNIS PORT, MA according to PEOPLE Magazine.  A HYANNIS PORT realtor has confirmed that SWIFT purchased the home last week, and that it is located right across the street from members of the KENNEDY family.  The property had been on the market for the past two to four years, originally listed at $14 million.  It includes seven bedrooms, and five bathrooms. SWIFT reportedly only paid $4.9 million for the home that overlooks NANTUCKET SOUND.

In recent media reports, TAYLOR SWIFT has been seen with reported boyfriend CONOR KENNEDY, including a visit to NASHVILLE where he met her parents last week.
