John Rich Mentors Singers On New Reality Series

JOHN RICH, one half of WARNER BROS. NASHVILLE duo BIG & RICH, joins the cast of the newest singing competition television series, “The Next,” to premier this THURSDAY (8/16) at 8p (CT) on the CW Network. 

“The Next” will feature RICH, along with GLORIA ESTEFAN, NELLY and JOE JONAS. The industry veterans will travel to different cities, seeking established singers with a large local fan base, to compete in the televised talent competition each week. RICH, ESTEFAN, NELLY and JONAS will then move in with each contestant and mentor them for 72 hours throughout the course of their day-to-day lives. 

After 72 hours, the contestants will perform and a weekly winner will be crowned. All of the weekly winners will then compete in the finals where viewers will choose the champion. That artist will receive a recording contract with ATLANTIC RECORDS.
