Nashville Mayor Honored For Music Industry Contributions

LEADERSHIP MUSIC is honoring NASHVILLE Mayor KARL DEAN with the BRIAN WILLIAMS AMBASSADOR AWARD on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17th at WAR MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE.
DEAN, who is a 2010 alumnus of the organization launched the NASHVILLE/ MUSIC CITY MUSIC COUNCIL in an effort to capitalize on NASHVILLE’s identity as MUSIC CITY. The council opens communication between the Mayor’s office, NASHVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and NASHVILLE’s CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU. DEAN also created a partnership between the council and NASHVILLE ENTREPRENEUR CENTER to assist various digital media and entertainment business startups within the city, and he has had a hand in many other entertainment-based endeavors and events throughout NASHVILLE.
During the award ceremony, Country artists CHARLIE DANIELS, VINCE GILL, and RANDY OWEN will also be honored with the DALE FRANKLIN AWARD. This award ceremony is an annual event which honors music industry professionals for their humanitarian efforts.
