International Bluegrass Music Award Nominees And Hall Of Fame Inductees Announced

The INTERNATIONAL BLUEGRASS MUSIC ASSOCIATION (IBMA) announced YESTERDAY (8/15) in a press conference at LOVELESS BARN in NASHVILLE, nominees for the 2012 INTERNATIONAL BLUEGRASS MUSIC AWARDS.

With nominations in nine categories, RUSSELL MOORE & IIIRD TYME OUT leads in the most nominated category, followed by ALISON KRAUSS & UNION STATION with eight nominations. Both groups are also nominated for “Entertainer Of The Year,” along with DAILEY & VINCENT, THE GIBSON BROTHERS and STEVE MARTIN & THE STEEP CANYON RANGERS. 

Also at the awards, two new BLUEGRASS HALL OF FAME inductees, DOYLE LAWSON and RALPH RINZLER, will honored.

The INTERNATIONAL BLUEGRASS MUSIC AWARDS will be held on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE, and simulcast on SIRIUS XM SATELLITE RADIO Channel 14 (BLUEGRASS JUNCTION).
