The Americana Festival And Conference Is Just A Month Away

Music ... And More Music, Ya'll

The AMERICANA MUSIC ASSOCIATION’s 13th annual AMERICANA FESTIVAL & CONFERENCE in NASHVILLE takes place SEPTEMBER 12th-15th.  It will, again, be held at the downtown NASHVILLE SHERATON HOTEL.

The conference will present over 50 panels and events.  And the 11th annual AMERICANA HONORS AND AWARDS ceremony hosted by industry stalwart JIM LAUDERDALE and band leader BUDDY MILLER takes place on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th at the historic RYMAN AUDITORIUM.

The festival brings 100 Americana showcases to venues throughout MUSIC CITY.  Last year, approximately 1,000 industry types attended the conference, including a number of Americana and Triple A radio programmers.  More than 12,000 fans enjoyed the festival's musical events.

Once again SONGLINES will be hosting their annual music meeting at the gathering.  The AMERICANA MUSIC MEETING will take place on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th at 3:30p.  SEAN COAKLEY and LESLIE ROUFFE are looking for new music to showcase for radio, satellite, Internet programmers and music bloggers.

They are looking for great new music that has not yet been sent to radio (and won't before early-SEPTEMBER).  They prefer digital but will accept physical.  And please clearly note that it’s for the MUSIC MEETING and designate a focus track if you have one.
