Report: Clanton, Wessling In For Afternoons At KGOW

New Afternoons

Former CBS RADIO Sports KILT-A (SPORTS RADIO 610)/HOUSTON host ADAM CLANTON and comedian JOHN WESSLING will take over the 3-7p (CT) afternoon show at GOW COMMUNICATIONS Sports KGOW-A (YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO 1560)/HOUSTON on MONDAY (8/27), reports the HOUSTON CHRONICLE's DAVID BARRON.

CLANTON, most recently a sports anchor for NBC affiliate KPRC-TV, and WESSLING are filling the gap left by TRAVIS RODGERS' move to middays on GOW's YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO network.  CRAIG SHEMON, who has been hosting middays on the network, will move to weekends; a new afternoon show for the network version of YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO, which will not air locally on KGOW, will be announced later this week.  PETER BROWN is hosting 3-7p (CT) on the network this week.
