The FCC and FEMA have notified participants in NOVEMBER 9th's first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) that their test information has been sent to the Government Accountability Office.
The agencies were required to submit test results to the GAO within 45 days following the test, but the rule also provides that the results will not be released to the public. The rules also require the agencies to notify participants when their individual results are shared with the GAO, and in a release last week, the FCC told participants "that the Commission is sharing that information with GAO in response to GAO’s request."
