CRTC Grants New B.C. Low Power FM

Says Yes

The CRTC has approved VOICE OF THE SHUSWAP BROADCAST SOCIETY's application for a new English-language low-power community FM in SALMON ARM, BC.  The station will operate with 15 watts ERP on 93.7 FM.

The agency also issued a short-term renewal for CJNE FM RADIO INC. Classic Hits CJNE (THE STORM)/NIPAWIN, SK, cutting the license term to expire in 2014.  The short term, following a previous short term renewal, is the result of the station's failure to comply with license conditions regarding Canadian talent development (now known as Canadian content development).
