ENTERCOM Sports KGMZ (95.7 THE GAME)/SAN FRANCISCO has added OAKLAND RAIDERS play-by-play voice GREG PAPA as co-host with JOHN LUND of "THE WHEELHOUSE," which is moving from 10a-2p (PT) to noon-3p. The move opens another slot in middays 10a-noon, which will be filled with a new show hosted by evening and A's pre-game host CHRIS TOWNSEND and the station's WARRIORS and NBA Insider MATT STEINMETZ. The new lineup launches SEPTEMBER 4th; the station will add a new co-host with BRANDON TIERNEY for "THE DRIVE," which is shifting to 3-7p.
PD JASON BARRETT said, “This is great day for 95.7 THE GAME. We are adding two weekday shows BAY AREA sports fans will love. It’s not often you can add talent like this to your full-time lineup. GREG PAPA is a BAY AREA icon and to have him on full-time is terrific. CHRIS TOWNSEND has proved he belongs in middays and with MATT STEINMETZ as his teammate, the sky’s the limit,. These moves help solidify and better position 95.7 THE GAME for the future. We are very excited about these two new shows and can’t wait to announce BRANDON TIERNEY’s co-host in the coming weeks.”
“I am thrilled to be joining 95.7 THE GAME on a full-time basis,” said PAPA. “Sports radio is a great way to connect with passionate BAY AREA sports fans of all teams and JOHN and I can’t wait to hear from each and every one of them on THE WHEELHOUSE.”
“I’m pumped to have the opportunity to co-host a show with CHRIS TOWNSEND at 95.7 THE GAME," said STEINMETZ. "While my background is covering the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS and the NBA, we have so many great BAY AREA sports teams and fans so I'm looking forward to covering all the bases every weekday."
