Jim Clayton Retiring, Janene Drafs Upped To Head Fisher Seattle Cluster

FISHER COMMUNICATIONS SEATTLE cluster SVP/GM JIM CLAYTON is retiring from his post, effective AUGUST 31st, the company announced TODAY (8/22). ABC affiliate KOMO-TV VP/Station Manager JANENE DRAFS is being promoted to VP/GM of both radio and TV as CLAYTON's replacement; CLAYTON will continue with the company as Sr. Advisor, focusing on special projects.
"JANENE is an accomplished leader who brings the full range of newsroom and sales experience, along with deep community knowledge, to this position," said Pres./CEO COLLEEN BROWN. "She has been instrumental to our success in the SEATTLE market, and we look forward to her continued contributions in this new role."
"We are grateful for the many contributions that JIM has made to KOMO-TV, (UNIVISION affiliate) KUNS-TV and FISHER RADIO," added BROWN. "He is highly respected and admired throughout the Company -- and across the industry -- for the terrific job he has done leading our SEATTLE team and mentoring the next generation of media executives, including JANENE."
