Yakima, WA Radio Stations Hold Telethon For Wildfire Victims

Six RADIO YAKIMA stations in WASHINGTON, along with KIMA Television and the YAKIMA RED CROSS raised money to benefit victims of the TAYLOR BRIDGE wildfire on FRIDAY (8/17).
The fire has already burned 25,000 acres so far, including 50 homes. RADIO YAKIMA staff hit the streets to collect donations from area residents, and passers-by. The donated funds will aid in the relief efforts of the fire. The staff at RADIO YAKIMA, KIMA, and YAKIMA RED CROSS were able to raise over $27,000 throughout the afternoon.
