More Performances Announced For Republican National Convention

Country group OAK RIDGE BOYS, artist LEE GREENWOOD, and Southern Country Rock band LYNYRD SKYNYRD are the latest performances scheduled to hit the stage at the 2012 REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION (RNC) in TAMPA, FLORIDA next week.
As ALL ACCESS reported earlier (NET NEWS 8/17), CURB RECORDS artist RODNEY ATKINS has been slated to headline the festivities. SKYNYRD will kick off the happenings by performing at a fundraising event, CITIZENS HELPING HEROES, on SUNDAY, AUGUST 26th. They will then perform again on MONDAY, AUGUST 27th when ANN ROMNEY will officially be introduced to the convention guests.
SPRING HILL MUSIC’s GRAMMY winning group, OAK RIDGE BOYS, will perform the NATIONAL ANTHEM on MONDAY, AUGUST 27th. The NATIONAL MUSIC COUNCIL proclaimed the group "The Official Leading Singers of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’” earlier this year (NET NEWS 7/19).
“God Bless The USA” singer and COUNTRY CROSSING artist LEE GREENWOOD will perform at a private show for RNC guests on MONDAY, AUGUST 27th, as well as a public show at the HARD ROCK CAFÉ that evening. LEE GREENWOOD was previously given the NATIONAL PATRIOT’s AWARD by the CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR SOCIETY.
