Former PHILADELPHIA EAGLES safety BRIAN DAWKINS has returned to GREATER MEDIA Sports WPEN-A-F (97.5 THE FANATIC)/PHILADELPHIA as a "regular football contributor" on the station's “Football FRIDAYS” at 4:10p (ET) with MIKE MISSANELLI. DAWKINS hosted a weekly show show on THE FANATIC's predecessor SPORTS RADIO 950 during the 2007 season, when he was still playing for the EAGLES.
DAWKINS retired after a stint with the DENVER BRONCOS in 2009-11, returning to the EAGLES for a one-day contract to formally retire as an EAGLE. His number 20 will be retired in a ceremony accompanying the fourth game of the season against the NEW YORK GIANTS.
"There is no one that EAGLE fans love and relate to more than BRIAN DAWKINS," said PD MATT NAHIGIAN. "We had him on our air about a month ago and the response we received via Twitter and FACEBOOK about wanting to hear him each week was staggering. I am thrilled to bring his passion and insight to the DELAWARE VALLEY on a week-to-week basis."
