Condolences to the family and friends of EMMIS WQHT (HOT 97)/NEW YORKS's CHRIS NADLER, who enexpectedly passed away last week.
"We at EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS and HOT 97 are devastated by the news that one of our own has passed away. CHRIS NADLER was an incredibly talented, dedicated and passionate professional very widely respected by peers and colleagues," the station commented in a release.
NADLER began his career at EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS in 1999 as the Sales Record Label Account Manager and has served in several key positions throughout his career, most recently as the Lifestyle Engagement Director for HOT 97 producing the HOT 97 SUMMER JAM FESTIVAL Stage and the monthly Who's Next Artist Showcase at S.O.B's in MANHATTAN.
"There are no words to express how stunned and saddened I and the whole EMMIS staff are as CHRIS was a long-time and widely cared for EMMIS/NY family member," noted EMMIS/NY GM ALEX CAMERON. "This is a deeply felt loss that will take time and support to overcome. There is a hole in our hearts and in our team. He was a fantastic, creative and dynamic professional that can never be replaced. More importantly, he was a generous, selfless, person of integrity with a great sense of humor and true friend to so many. He was a dad, a husband, a colleague and dear friend. I certainly count him as one of my close friends and a special part of Emmis that will always, always be remembered. We will mourn and remember CHRIS, and we will also celebrate his life and the significant accomplishments of this incredibly cheerful, unique and warm individual. The massive outpouring of sadness and many fond memories are a testament to CHRIS. He was simply one of the best human beings that I've ever known and I know everyone at EMMIS would echo that sentiment. Saying that CHRIS will be missed is an understatement and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children."
