Former WAAV/Wilmington, NC Owner/Host Donn Ansell Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former WAAV-A/WILMINGTON, NC owner and host DONN ANSELL, who died FRIDAY (8/24) of cancer at 69, according to NBC affiliate WECT-TV.

ANSELL, a NEW JERSEY native who worked at CBS television as a Unit Manager in the 1950s and 1960s, owned WAAV for 22 years before the station was sold to CUMULUS, and hosted on the station until his 2006 retirement.  He later hosted a public affairs show on crosstown CBS affiliate WILM-LD (CBS 10).
