BROADSOUTH COMMUNICATIONS WDXX/ MONTGOMERY, AL has flipped its “DIXIE 100” Country format into the new Variety Hits, “FUZION 100.” Along with a stronger signal from its new tower, the FUZION 100 format blends multiple genres of music from all decades, including Classic Rock, Pop, Motown, Country and Disco.
“FUZION 100 will be unlike any radio station in AMERICA. Our music playlist will range from EARTH, WIND & FIRE to JASON ALDEAN to KATY PERRY, from STEVIE WONDER to LYNYRD SKYNYRD, JOHNNY CASH to HALL & OATS. We will truly play everything,” said former CUMULUS/ MONTGOMERY, AL Market Manager and new WDXX GM, BILL JONES.
Sports radio personalities JOSH MOON and DOUG AMOS will host FUZION 100’s morning drive. Former CUMULUS WMSP-A/ MONTGOMERY, AL personality GEORGE “G-MAN” HENRY will hold down middays while “DANGEROUS” DON WAYNE takes over afternoons.
The station will also air ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE sports through the 2017 season, and local high school football on FRIDAY nights. “The group at FUZION 100 blew us away with their enthusiasm and excitement in wanting to be our MONTGOMERY radio affiliate. Everyone associated with the network could not be happier about this new partnership to bring all ‘BAMA programming to the RIVER REGION,” said CRIMSON TIDE SPORTS MARKETING's Director of Broadcasting, TOM ROBERTS.
