Controversial Host Derryn Hinch To Exit 3AW/Melbourne

FAIRFAX Talk 3AW/MELBOURNE has announced that it will not renew afternoon host DERRYN HINCH's contract when it expires.  HINCH's final show will be on NOVEMBER 30th, with TOM ELLIOTT taking over the show next year.

The controversial HINCH had hosted the show on 3AW for 10 years and had recently been critical on the air of station management.  He said on the air today that he has not gotten a "real explanation" for why he was fired and added that he would be off the air for about a month, but would return to complete his contract.
