WNLS, WTNT Ink Renewal To Carry Florida State U. Sports

CLEAR CHANNEL Sports WNKS-A (1270 THE TEAM) and Country WTNT-F (94.9 TNT)/TALLAHASSEE will continue as flagship stations for FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY sports under a new deal witl rights holder IMG COLLEGE. The new contract is for two years; the SEMINOLES have aired on CLEAR CHANNEL stations since 1983. FSU football will air on both stations, as will coach JIMBO FISHER's show, with GENE DECKERHOFF and WILLIAM FLOYD back to call the action and TOM BLOCK returning as sideline reporter. Men's basketball and coach LEONARD HAMILTON's show will air on WTNT, while baseball and women's basketball will be carried by WNLS.
"We are very happy we were able to extend this relationship and are looking forward to continuing to grow the SEMINOLE brand with CLEAR CHANNEL BROADCASTING here in Tallahassee," said SEMINOLE IMG SPORTS GM PAUL PHIPPS.
CLEAR CHANNEL Market Manager CHUCK REDDEN added, "We are thrilled to extend our longstanding relationship with FSU and the SEMINOLES. Our five radio stations will deliver the SEMINOLE brand to over 200,000 weekly listeners in NORTH FLORIDA and SOUTH GEORGIA along with an additional 60,000 plus users of our websites and digital products."
