Bill Macky Named VP/Promotion At Black River Entertainment

BLACK RIVER ENTERTAINMENT has announced that industry veteran BILL MACKY has been named VP/Promotion. He replaces RICK BAUMGARTNER, who exited recently for health reasons.

TODAY'S (8/30) announcement was made by BLACK RIVER GM, GREG MCCARN.

"BLACK RIVER ENTERTAINMENT is poised to become a major player in our industry and I am honored to have been asked to be a part of this team," said MACKY. "The environment that GREG MCCARN and GORDON KERR have created is unlike any other I've been around. From the artists to the staff, this is a very special place. I'm very excited and I can't wait to get started." 

"I am so excited about the addition of BILL MACKY to BLACK RIVER," said MCCARN. "His leadership, depth and experience are a valuable addition to our promotion team as we move forward with the development of the label and our artists."

As a part of the restructuring, BRIAN RHODES moves away from his Regional duties in the Northeast and will assume the post of Sr. Dir./National Promotion & Strategy. BILL LUBITZ continues on as the Dir./National Promotion and is in the process of relocating to NASHVILLE.

MACKY, most recently VP/Promotion at RODEOWAVE RECORDS, starts at BLACK RIVER on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th. He will be seeking candidates for the promo staff for both the Northeast and West Coast Regions.
